  1. Hi! I'm the developer of a shortcut launcher game on Steam that is affected by the "In-game" Steam friends bug that used to affect Dimmdrive. One of your users pointed me to your dev log that shows that you guys used to have this issue as well, but resolved it. Is there any information you can share with me on how to fix it? As I'm sure you know from when the bug affected you guys, it's real annoying when your friends can't see what you're playing! Thanks in advance for any help you can give me, SM Sith Lord Anarchy Arcade Developer
  2. It would be nice to improve the organization of the Games tab using Steam Categories, which could be pulled from "$STEAM/userdata/$UID/7/remote/sharedconfig.vdf", especially if the categories were nested. This could be a real time-saver for users with particularly large libraries.
  3. I am not sure if I should make this a bug report, or a feature request, but since it's a native feature of steam I think it is more of a feature request. Basically, when launching the steam version of the app, it tells my friends I am "in app: DimmDrive", since it is an app on steam, this makes sense. However when I launch a game (both with steam and with dimmdrive) the game I am playing does not update my now playing status, instead it stays with "in app: Dimmdrive". This means that my friends do not know what game I am playing, and in addition there is no way for them to join me without me giving them the server ip I am on. It's generally a hassle. I was hoping there would be a way to minimize or stop dimmdrive from showing up in my now playing to make room for the games I am actually playing with the program.
  4. Hello all, the title says it already - if I add folders for a non-Steam game, DD neither fetches the folder data (folder's content size) nor does DD buffer it. Besides that, it's impossible to remove such a folder from that list - there's no "Delete from list" option. Does DD buffer whole HD volumes (if content size is smaller)? Does DD support NTFS-folder linked volumes (using an empty NTFS folder instead of a drive letter for a HD partition)?
  5. I had trouble initially setting up Dimmdrive to recognize my Steam games. I have two hard drives; A small SSD with the OS and Steam app, A larger HDD that has my Steam games. The fix was simply to move my Steam app install to my HDD where my games are saved. It would be convenient if there were a selection to point to the Steam game locations without having to move my Steam app. This would also help those with multiple Steam game locations. Not the biggest deal, but worth a shot.
  6. Hello, Dimmdrive is only showing 1 steam game, Portal 2, though the Dimmdrive Status Tool is showing 7. It may be coincidental but Portal 2 is the only one being detected by 'Type B Detection'. I have properly updated to V 10012, and I have also tried the 'Remove Configuration Files" button.... no luck. Any ideas?
