  5. I have installed Dimmdrive but it will not let me add folders to the apps section. Every time I add my google chrome cache folder or windows temp folder (these are the reason I bought Dimmdrive in the first place) and turn the switch on, the load bar reaches 100% and then I get a pop-up window saying that the program stopped working and then it closes the program. It crashes every single time. I have seen this exact issue with screenshots that are identical to mine on the support forums here but he never got an answer, so I know I'm not the only person having this problem. Should I have bought it on steam instead? I was considering ti but never did and now I'm not able to make it work. Also, I tried sending this to the support process but it failed to send the message so I'm not sure how else to contact the developers.

  7. When selecting files manually to put on the ramdisk, a game that is, say, 20gb in total but less than 8gb after selections are made won't enable with a 16gb drive size.

  8. I bought DD,great program, my only issue is I cannot use it with my internet down. There's expected to be a lot of downtime in my neighborhood. I bought CPU cores on steam and was thoroughly fed up with the fact I could not use it on my second steam account. Looking past that I bought DD non-steam because I could use it between accounts. Now I can't use it at all while fiber optics is being ran throughout my neighborhood. Please tell me this isn't some tricked to tie DD to one steam account. I'm about out of patience dealing with these petty issues. I bought both products now I can only use CPU cores in offline mode on one of my two steam accounts.

  9. Hello, for several weeks now I've been locked in a heated debate with a friend about this software, and there's something I'd like to clarify. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but it's my understanding that your software works by writing a given program from the non-volatile storage (HDD/SSD) to the DIMMDrive (volatile storage) at start up so that if/when a user wants to use it, the program will launch/run faster, and if the program isn't selected to load at start-up, it'll load the full program in the background as the user begins using the program/game, correct? Which means, that at start up, the users drive still has to be read in order to populate the DIMMDrive, yes?

  12. Ok I open this thread to see if this way someone help me cause I’m lost and confuse. Yesterday I purchased Dimmdrive through the web’s site paypal and before hand I had register on this forum without knowing that later it was part of the process of registering and authenticating the software, so I went ahead purchase, download and install the software and I came up to a message on the installed program saying that my user or password is wrong when in the other hand I can logging to the forum without any problem. Anyways the long story short is this, When anyone goes to Wal-Mart and purchase anything they don’t ask you to pay out front then come back tomorrow to get you product, you take with you the same day, right. Then I feel like I’m lost because I purchase this product yesterday and so far I haven’t got an answer yet. And I have sent Tim 2 PM’s and I don’t know if he have got them but I haven’t seen a replay from no body yet. So I get my problem solved or get a refund through paypal, on both PM I have sent the proper info for anyone verify my legitimacy of my purchased.

  14. Hi Tim, My memories are not exactly good for overclocking, all I can is 2000mhz cl9 with them which would give me the 9000mb / s, but I see no need. To tell the truth, I have I damaged my memories with overclocking, so best to leave them in the xmp settings. Gtx 780 Ti has a power of impressive overclock without modifying the clock voltage with +200 and +350 in the memories, with voltages I get 1.250mhz/8000mhz (and bios mod). I am awaiting the arrival of another for SLI. Blocks waiting for watercooler too. Enjoyed the DimmDisk. Thank you!

  15. Nice stats!! I have a system almost exactly the same, RIVE motherboard and all. I believe that if you were get some tighter timings (CAS9 is great though) your Dimmdrive speeds would be over 10GB/s. I know the RIVE has insane control, though I'm not too knowledgable with settings. I just know that 1600mhz @ CAS9 w/24 tRAS and generally 9/9/9 timings gets about 10,500+ MB/s. I have 2400mhz @ 11/12/12 G.Skill (nice RAM, but timings are atrocious) and I get about 9000 MB/s. If that same RAM had tigher timings, which I've heard people getting with the RIVE, I could expect 13000 MB/s+. How are you liking the Geforce 780 Ti with regards to overclocking?

  17. Dimmdrive has been updated to Version 10004! This update is a massive update to Dimmdrive which includes features that a lot of people have been excited for. Dimmdrive can now be used with games which have a size larger than your RAM / Dimmdrive size! This feature allows you to intelligently select the particular files you want to go fast and skip out non-essential files. For example, you can take a 25GB World of Warcraft installation and trim it down to 3GB size in Dimmdrive. See here for more information: http://dimmdrive.com/instructions/game-wrench-less-ram-or-more-ram/ Dimmdrive's core has been completely rebuilt. All Ramdisk information is now intelligently created and managed using our custom symlink engine. This means Steam, Origin, Game Launchers, everything, will passively work by default Dimmdrive's core now automatically synchronizes all managed symlinks with actual data on your hard drive. This means NO data is lost when you shut down your PC, reboot, etc. You can now re-select an EXE in Steam You can now bind an EXE to run in the "Other Programs" area when using a folder Fixed a crash bug due to a Microsoft issue causing WMI pointers to get out-of-sync General speed enhancements Please do the following when updating: Go into your Add / Remove inside windows, and uninstall Dimmdrive. SUPER IMPORTANT! Delete your Dimmdrive folder config/xml/gamexml (either in the Dimmdrive install directory, or look in your Localstore (Example: "C:\Users\admin\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)" ). NOTE: You can use the Support Tool to delete your old config files. See here! Reboot Download the latest Dimmdrive from here and install it Reboot Enjoy! NOTE: To delete your old Dimmdrive config, use the support tool. Forthcoming Updates: The next update will include the following: The ability to launch a Steam game inside Dimmdrive proxied directly through Steam (versus running the Dimmdrive'd .exe) Better detection of Steam Games Any bug fixes that need to go in
